LeBron James, the superstar forward for the Los Angeles Lakers and arguably the best basketball player of all time, has been a Team Gladiator Athlete since the summer of 2010, when athletic trainer Mike Mancias was looking for a suitable mouthguard for the NBA’s biggest star.
The former high school phenomenon from Akron, Ohio, who also won three gold medals with Team USA, has been a habitual mouthguard wearer since his days at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. LeBron understands the importance of the proper protection provided by a custom mouthguard.
Through our partnership, Gladiator developed the High Performance Gladiator specifically for James, in order to offer him the most protective and comfortable option available. The High Performance took Gladiator’s unique design to the next level, and after seeing LeBron’s love for the newly created style, started offering it to the public.
Gladiator has since produced various standout mouthguards for LeBron, including his famous 3D Fangs, which he wore for his Halloween debut with the Heat; the XVI that was worn during the 2012 Playoffs, when he won his first title; and various All-Star designs.
